11 Pound Weight Loss in 30 Days Flexibility & Endurance Returns for Body Builder Then Mental Focus Returns
Having first tried Bikram Yoga in the summer of 2006, I am a loyal fan!!
As a very, very amateur bodybuilder at the time I weighed in at 220lbs my first class.
The problem was that I had no flexibility, a five-thousand-calorie-a day-diet split up between 4 big meals (snacks in between) and no cardiovascular endurance. So for a year I cut out the weightlifting, cut my diet and focused on Bikram Yoga.
Then, from November of 2007 until September 2008 I did not complete a single Bikram yoga class. On September 30th I decided to get started again with the 30-day challenge and a beginning weight of 191lbs.
30 days later I am in great shape with a body weight of 180lbs.
I feel mentally satisfied and strong for having set a goal and achieving it!
Bikram yoga gave me 90 minutes of peace and serenity during an otherwise hectic day.
Finally, it helped me at work. With a renewed passion for goal setting I have been more efficient and successful in my endeavors.
I would whole-heartedly recommend anyone taking the 30-day challenge. If you never challenge yourself, how do you know what you are made of?
