Bikram Better than the Gym!
I’ve practiced Bikram yoga for almost three years now and have loved it because it’s the only form of exercise that challenges me on so many different levels each time I practice.
Thanks to Bikram yoga, I lost 15 pounds that I had not been able to lose with treadmill and weight training.
It has also rid me of kinks in my neck and shoulders that had plagued my body as a result of weight training for so many years.
My knees are stronger and don’t snap, crackle and pop like they used to either. I’m told bad knees run in all the males on my father’s side of the family.
When I don’t practice Bikram for three or four days, such as when I’m on vacation or out of town on business and can’t find a studio, I can literally feel my spine, knees and joints start to stiffen.
These symptoms disappear as soon as I start practicing again. My legs, buttocks, back, knees, are much stronger as a result of Bikram yoga.
And the enormous amount of sweating you do in a workout and the water you drink afterwards does wonders for your complexion.
